Sharp corners and angles send secret arrows of sha chi toward whatever is in their way. As chi flows along smooth surfaces and comes to an angle, it creates turbulent energy at the point of the angle. This can result in stress, anxiety, difficult sleep, arguments, and conflict. If possible, avoid placing the bed, desk, sofa or other key seating or working areas where you will be attacked by a sharp corner. As a guideline, the effect of a secret arrow will be felt for a distance equal to its height. To soften a sharp corner, try placing a live plant in front of it, draping a piece of fabric in front of it, or hanging a faceted crystal ball or wind chime in front of it. As you work on correcting any sharp angles in your feng shui power spots, focus on reducing the tension created by turbulent chi. When you are finished with the treatment, make a statement to support your intention. For instance you might say: "The secret arrows no longer disturb my concentration and I am now able to make rapid progress toward my goal of ..... " Take a moment to visualize the specific improvements you would like to gain from your improved comfort or concentration. Picture the new situation in your mind as if it has already happened.
